The Grand Narrative
Working title
A history of everything, told as scroll films for your phone.
A serialised history of everything, from the first migrations out of Africa to the screen you are reading this on. Each episode is a fifteen-minute scroll film made for a phone: reading-led, with layered painted worlds, a few moments of motion, an optional score, and a visible source on every central claim.
You are improbably here.
Every line of your family tree runs through people who crossed seas, ice and deserts and lived long enough to have a child.
The series exists to let a reader feel that once, on a phone, in fifteen minutes, and finish grateful rather than instructed.
How it works
A turning point
Each episode is a small film: one turning point in the human story and one bounded question.
Evidence as twists
The story turns on what the evidence reveals, told through layered 2.5D worlds.
Known, Debated, Imagined
Every claim is labelled, and the paper behind it is two taps away.
What makes it different
Trust first
Claims are labelled Known, Debated or Imagined, a specialist reads each episode, and corrections are logged in public.
Human marks
The writing, sketches, palettes, lettering and the hummed motif are the founder's own.
A growing atlas
Every episode adds to a time-sliced map of the human story.
